Carve out some time for crafts and sewing

May. 142017

OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Sewing and Craft Group meets every Wednesday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. except for the third Wednesday of the month. During the cold season (this year that included May), the group meets at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, 231 Rayville Road, off Route 121. Starting in June, members will meet at the Otisfield Community Hall on Rt 121, also from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

This small group of women bring their own projects (sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, card making, garden art, etc.) to work on, although they sometimes participate in group projects. Those attending “put the tea kettle on and enjoy the camaraderie.” Some come just for the camaraderie or for inspiration.

Anyone is welcome to join, and living in Otisfield is not a requirement. This is a project of the Otisfield Social Outreach Committee and, as such, is sanctioned by the Town of Otisfield.
