AUGUSTA – Augusta Elks Lodge 964 will host its first annual Festival of Trees from Dec. 6-11, with proceeds benefitting the revival of the Colonial Theater.
The festival will be a fun event for businesses and families to show their creativity and fundraising support for the local economy after the hit it took from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Besides trees, there will be family festivities, a chance to get a photo taken with Santa, and a bake sale.
Organizers are looking for holiday tree sponsors to provide a decorated tree that showcases their business or family traditions or talent. Each tree sponsor will have a five-by-five foot space to provide and decorate a tree. Any idea is a great idea, organizers said, and an ideal way to bring your team together for a holiday celebration.
The festival will also have community trees that would include gift cards, monetary donations or any items a business can provide to boost the value of the tree. Deadline for commitment is Nov. 19.

You will be responsible for set up and decoration of your business tree. Set up date is Sunday, Dec. 5, before the start of the festival.
Festival of Trees will be open to public Dec. 6-11, with the drawing for each winner to be held on Dec. 12.
