LEWISTON — The Lewiston Public Library is hosting Zero Waste Maine for a virtual program at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25.
This free public program will be presented via Zoom and be simultaneously livestreamed to the library’s Facebook page.
Julie Olson, co-founder of Zero Waste Maine, will give a virtual presentation about how she reduced her household’s trash by more than 85 percent, and also offer practical skills and strategies viewers can use to reduce their own waste.
Olson is a dedicated maker who supports eating and shopping locally, and loves finding strategies and resources that support zero waste, as well as spreading the word to others.
While admission is free, registration is required for those participating through Zoom at LPLReference@lewistonmaine.gov or 207-513-3135.
