Church of the Good Shepherd to host historical service Sept. 15

RANGELEY — The Church of the Good Shepherd will hold a circa 1920s historical service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, as part of its centennial anniversary celebration, The Shepherd’s Arms – 100 Years of Reaching Out in Love.
The service, at the church on 2614 Main St., will feature the liturgy that would have been used by the founding generation of the church, as well as hymns from the time. Following the service, everyone is invited to the undercroft where local historian Gary Priest will present a short talk about what life was like in Rangeley in the 1920s.
The service and event following it are open to the public.
