Scout Einin Riddle, 11, center, of Sidney, recently began a campaign to collect new and small toys for children with cancer at the Barbra Bush Children’s Hospital in honor of her neighbor Jayden Poulin, who died from pediatric brain cancer. Einin wants others to remember Jayden, and also wants children battling cancer to know that there is someone out there who cares. She is a “lone Scout,” as there is no troop for girls in the area, and is the daughter of Sarah and David O. Riddle and a student at Messalonskee Middle School, in Oakland. (Submitted photo)
