AUBURN – St. Dominic Academy is holding an 80th anniversary weekend Sept. 24-26 at its campuses in both Auburn and Lewiston. Events will aim to inspire returns, reunion, and reminiscence.
The schedule includes:
Friday, Sept. 24
An anniversary dinner will be held at the Auburn campus, 121 Gracelawn Ave., with food provided by Cook’s Lobster & Ale House of Bailey Island, owned by Jen Dube Charboneau ’91. The dinner will include live music from the Moon Dawgs, featuring 1966 St. Dom’s classmates Roger Michaud and Bob Roy.
Saturday, Sept. 25
St. Dom’s Auburn campus will hold guided tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., which will include artifacts and historic items from throughout the academy’s history. Three St. Dom’s athletic teams will host games – girls soccer at 10 a.m., field hockey at 10:45 a.m., and boys soccer at noon. In the afternoon, the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will square off against St. Dom’s alums. All of the events on Saturday are free to attend.
Sunday, Sept. 26
The 80th Anniversary Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul in Lewiston at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. Following the celebration, a brunch will be held in the basilica hall, with beverages provided by Dad’s Place Catering in Mechanic Falls, owned owned by Larry Roy ’89. Tickets are required for the brunch.

Founded in 1941, St. Dom’s was originally a high school, but began welcoming students from pre-kindergarten through grade eight in 2010.
