FARMINGTON — Theresa M. Legere, 84, a resident of Jay, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Edgewood Rehab & Living Center.
She was born on April 8, 1933, in Chisholm, Maine, the daughter of Leo Legere and Rose (Breton) Legere. She graduated from Jay High School, class of 1953. She was a self-employed hairdresser and also worked at the local shoe shop.
Theresa was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sisters, Aline Purington, of Jay, and Jeannine Perreault and her husband, Robert, of Jay; a brother; Adrian Legere, of Jay; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Lucien Legere, her sister Margaret Castonguay, her brother-in-law Larry Purington, her sister-in-law Marie “Mary Lou” Legere and her nephew Marcel Castonguay.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Livermore Falls.
Arrangements were by Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
