Treat Memorial Library has plenty going on in July

Jul. 102021

LIVERMORE FALLS — The Treat Memorial Library summer reading program, Tails and Tales, continues in July.
Readers can register online at treat.beanstack.org, call the library at 207-897-3631 or stop by to sign up.
For every book or hour participants read, the library donates an item to the local food bank. Readers can earn prizes and help out the community. They can also solve the Mystery of the Cat Burglar to enter the grand prize drawing. Clues, released every Thursday in July, will be revealed on Facebook, posted at the library, on the Beanstack site and featured in the email newsletter.
Other library events:
Every Tuesday in July on Facebook, the library will post a Story Cubes prompt. Check it out for writing inspiration and share your stories.
The library shares its favorite titles on its Facebook page at noon, Saturday July 24 in Bonkers for Books.
Those missing travel may take a journey in their imagination with the Armchair Traveler Game on Facebook at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. The library provides the continent, date, compass direction and weather. The rest of the journey is yours to decide.
Online Story Time is 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, where staff shares some of their favorite picture books, rhymes, and songs. July’s theme is animal stories, to go with the summer reading program theme.
DIY Style Thursdays is at 4 p.m. on Facebook.
