BELGRADE — The Neighbors Driving Neighbors silent auction will run from July 1 to Aug. 1, featuring donations of goods and services from individuals and businesses from throughout the NDN coverage area.
Neighbors Driving Neighbors is a volunteer organization that serves Fayette, Mount Vernon, Belgrade, Vienna and Rome. It provides confidential, safe transportation for grocery shopping, medical appoints, visits to the food pantry and more.
Many of the auction items are handcrafted by local residents, including quilts, jewelry, framed paintings and photos, handcrafted baskets, carved wooden bowls and utensils, photo notecards, items for children, local maple syrup, cheese, honey, homemade baked goods and more. Belgrade mystery writer Maureen Milliken has also donated the three books in her Bernie O’Dea mystery series, signed, and the opportunity for the winning bidder’s name to be used in an upcoming book.
