Norway library hosts author, debuts two new displays

NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library will host author Nicole Casper via Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30 Tuesday, July 13.
Casper will discuss her book, “The Brockton Tragedy of Moosehead Lake.:
The book chronicles the 1928 tragedy that took the life of a fishing party from Massachusetts and their guide and its legacy in two New England communities. The link for the program is networkmaine.zoom.us/j/89629911093.
Visitors to the library may enjoy two new glass case displays through July and August. Reminisce about the former Main Street Norway landmark, Barjos Restaurant, with some menus loaned from Norway Historical Society. The other display features animals in a summer scene to celebrate this year’s Children’s Summer Reading Program theme, “Tails and Tales” and invites visitors to count the number of tails that they see inside the display case.
