CMCC’s CM Education Foundation recognizes student award winners

AUBURN — Central Maine Community College and the CM Education Foundation honored students receiving various scholarship awards at its annual awards event.
After welcoming remarks from Foundation Board Chair Christine Bosse, CMCC interim President Betsy Libby delivered the annual “State of the College” address, including updates on how the college has persevered despite the obstacles of operating in a pandemic.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to students and an all-employee recognition award.
Proceeds from the event, including a silent auction, exceeded $27,000 and will benefit the foundation’s scholarship fund. The mission of the foundation is to provide financial support to CMCC and its students, to advocate on behalf of the college and to nurture relationships with the community and constituencies. The foundation has raised more than one million dollars in scholarships for the college.
