BRIDGTON — DFD Russell Medical Centers recently announced the addition of Annamarie Pond, D.O., to the DFD Bridgton team.
Pond brings authenticity, compassion and extensive patient care experience to DFD and the community said a news release from the medical center. She will begin seeing patients at the new DFD Bridgton campus beginning on Tuesday, July 6.
Pond is board certified with American Board of Family Medicine, Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the Maine Osteopathic Association. She also has extensive teaching experience at the University of New England, Tufts University School of Medicine and as the resident physician with the Family Residency Program at Central Maine Medical Center, teaching third- and fourth-year medical students. She also has international medical experience with the Himalayan Health Exchange in India.
“I listen to and guide my patients by learning what’s important to them and what motivates them,” she said. “I help them to reach their goals and I love being a part of their lives and offering something useful to them.”
Pond’s background is in outpatient family medicine, treating all ages from newborns to elder patients. She joins DFD from Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.
