Lewiston’s Rivier Chapel is open for Eucharist adoration

LEWISTON — The Rivier Chapel has reopened for adoration of the Eucharist from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
The chapel, in Holy Cross Church, 1080 Lisbon St.,on the Baird Avenue side is open to the public. Safety guidelines are posted at the chapel and must be followed by those using it.
During adoration, a consecrated host is left exposed on the altar in a holder called a monstrance. Although it is not necessary to have the host exposed for adoration to take place, those who participate say it adds to the feeling of closeness to Christ.
