LIVERMORE FALLS — The Memorial Day Parade Committee is still looking for volunteers and vehicles for the May 29 parade and remembrance.The committee is looking for convertible cars to carry the parade marshal and others, as well as trailers to carry veterans and auxiliary members in the parade.
Any Scout troops, 4-H clubs, school or church groups, fore departments, ATV clubs, businesses, towns, town officials as well as state and national leaders who would like to participate are also welcome.
“This is a community parade to honor and remember those who gave of themselves for our great nation, so we need you to be part of this very important day,” organizers said. The theme of this year’s parade is “Those We Have Lost.”
More volunteers to help plan the parade are also needed. The next meeting is 6:30 p.m. May 8 at American Legion Post 10, 17 Reynolds Ave., Livermore Falls.
