Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum opens for season May 3

RANGELEY — Twice named “Best Sporting Museum in New England” by Yankee Magazine, Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum will open for the season May 3. OSHM shares Rangeley’s rich outdoor heritage, including locally discovered Native American artifacts.

Visiting authors and artisans are featured every Saturday and Sunday in July and August. The museum’s gift shop features outdoor art and prints, cards, Rangeley region and outdoor-related books, children’s gifts, glassware, fly fishing items, vintage fly tying materials and more.

Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday in May, June, September and October, the museum is also open seven days a week in July and August. OSHM is located at the intersection of Routes 4 and 17 in Oquossoc Village, at the northwest tip of Rangeley Lake.
