BRIDGTON — The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club presented a check for $520.10 to American Legion Post 155 in Naples to support its Veterans in Need program. The club budgeted $250 for the donation, and added $270.10 raised through the Hannaford supermarket customer donation kiosk.
For two years in a row, Hannaford has allowed the Rotary Club to collect donations in November and December to support veterans in the community.
“Most years our club’s donations go to posts in Bridgton, but this year we wanted to make sure to lend support to other Legions in our Rotary area,” Club President Julie Forbes said.
The club includes Bridgton, Denmark, Harrison, Naples and Sweden.
