Maritime author Paine speaks at Hobbs library Feb. 25 event

LOVELL — Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library in Lovell will host Portland author and maritime historian Lincoln Paine at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25.
Paine is the author of five books, including “The Sea and Civilization: A Maritime History of the World.” He will discuss his connections to Maine and the sea in a talk that is free and open to the public.
