Readfield Community Library offers Zoom story time on Tuesdays

READFIELD — Children from infant to age 5 may join the Readfield Community Library for a weekly Story Time on Zoom at 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday. The library offers parents, grandparents, caregivers and children a special time to share stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays and crafts.
As a bonus, on the first Tuesday of each month a special guest from the Pineland Suzuki School helps introduce children to string musicians and offers an opportunity to explore books through music and music through books, said librarian Melissa Small.
Each week, children are offered a craft connected to the theme, which can be retrieved from the library during the week. Craft materials are gathered together in a Take and Make bag so children may create. In the coming weeks, topics include snow, ice, Martin Luther King, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day and more. The meetings will occur every week on Tuesdays until March 30,
