Maine state park summer camping reservations open Feb. 1

AUGUSTA — THE Maine Bureau of Parks and Land campground reservations call center opens at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, for summer reservations for Sebago Lake State Park. Group camping reservations also begin Feb. 1. Reservations open for all other 12 state park campgrounds at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5. The storm date for the Feb. 1 opening, if Maine state offices are closed that day is Feb. 2; if they are closed because of weather Feb. 5, the storm date is Feb. 8. Information on making reservations, including a page on group camping, is available at www.campwithme.com and www.maine.gov/dacf/parks/camping. Information includes campground rates by location, maps and photos, pets at campgrounds information, RV and campers information and reviews by Rubys on the Road. A reminder that Baxter State Park is not part of the state parks campground network and information is available at baxterstatepark.org.
