LEEDS — While COVID-19 restrictions have postponed some of the Leeds Historical Society’s programs, the society offered a variety of history walks in the fall, and plans to continue them in the spring.
The historical society is looking for ideas for interesting places to walk, and those with ideas may call Pam Bell at 207-933-4121.
Meanwhile, Leeds Commemorative Pottery and note cards by Leeds artist Ian Ormon, featuring scenes of the town accompanied by a brief description of the scene’s significance are available at the town office, 8 Community Drive. Also available are “Out of Our Past,” the Leeds anthology, a collection of stories and photographs about Leeds. Proceeds from sale of the items support the LHS and its programs. For more information on the society, visit the Leeds Historical Society Facebook page.
