NORTH BRIDGTON — Come hear the Lake Region Community Chorus (LRCC) as they celebrate spring through joyful song at their fifth annual Spring Concert. The 52 members of the chorus have come together each week from 14 towns in and surrounding the lakes region to prepare for the upcoming concert. A great variety of musical styles from classical to popular are in store for the event. This spring’s selections will include composers such as Vivaldi, Irving Berlin, William L. Dawson, Cat Stevens, The Beatles and more.
The concerts are scheduled for Friday, May 19, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 21, at 3 p.m. at the Twitchell Chapel, Bridgton Academy. The concerts are open to the public, and donations are graciously accepted to help cover operating costs.
Jan Jukkola, Susan Stockwell and Dan Allen direct LRCC. Carolyn Stanhope, Sara-Sue Schreiber and Nancy Capone accompany the group. The group welcomes back percussionists Rusty Wiltjer and Mark Priola, Zachary Gray on trumpet and violinist Alex Ricks. Sam Schuth, Ann Stepp and Linda McVety will join Alex Ricks to accompany the selections from Vivaldi’s “Gloria.”
Lake Region Community Concert is made up entirely of volunteers and is extremely grateful for the help and support it has received from local businesses, patrons and enthusiastic audiences as well as Bridgton Academy for providing the venue.
