BRIDGTON — Every year, the Bridgton Art Guild awards a scholarship to a graduating high school senior who plans to study the arts in college. To raise money for the scholarship, the guild is holding a raffle at Gallery 302.
The prize is a necklace donated by Karen Lipiatos, made of shell pearl and Amazonite beads, on silk thread with a hand-wrought sterling silver findings clasp. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. This raffle will end Oct 12; all proceeds from the raffle go to the scholarship for a local high school senior.
Also, a new art show, “Mother Earth,” will run from Friday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Nov. 6, at Gallery 302. The exhibit, with works created by members of the Bridgton Art Guild, will be featured in the “3rd Thursday Art Mart” video, which will air on the Gallery’s Facebook page at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.
To see the work in person, hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Gallery 302 is at 112 Main St. Call 207-647-2787 for more information.
