Maine state park camping reservation call center closes Sept. 11

AUGUSTA — The State Park Camping Reservations Call Center will close for the season at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11.
Charlene Daniels, the bureau’s campground reservations manager, has handled an incredible volume and variety of calls from all over the country this summer.
Despite the call center closing, internet reservations will continue until 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 at www.CampWithME.com.
Campsites become first-come/first-served on Monday, Sept. 14 and campers can continue to camp through Indigenous People’s Day,m Monday, Oct. 12, at most park campgrounds.
Reservations for 2021 sites open at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, for Sebago Lake State Park and 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, for all other parks. A reminder that Baxter State Park is not part of the state park system and has its own reservation process.
