Multiple budgets up for review
FAYETTE — Next year’s budgets for town, county and school are next up to the docket, having been continually under review, according to Town Manager Mark Robinson. The next public opportunity to learn about all the budgets will be Monday April 24, at Fayette Central School starting at 7 p.m.
At this meeting the Fayette School Committee will join the Budget Committee and Board of Selectmen to review the 2017-2018 requests. The outcome of all of this effort will determine the property tax bill property owners will receive in the Fall.
Readfield church hosting welcome social
In other business, Readfield United Methodist Church will be hosting an event called, “Town Welcoming Social” Saturday, April 29, from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. This will be a great opportunity for local residents and groups to get to know their neighbors, to learn about their town groups/organizations/businesses,and to build up community and stronger relationships. This event will especially offer lots of resources to the relatively new residents, who would like to learn more about their communities of Readfield, Fayette and Mt. Vernon.
