Maine State Museum archeologist LeBar to be Winthrop Historical Society

WINTHROP — Maine State Musuem archeologist Laurie LaBar will be the guest of the Winthrop Historical Society from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday., Sept. 10, in a Zoom webinar.

LaBar will provide insight into a selection of items that were donated to the society. She will discuss the best way to preserve, showcase and display these items in the society’s future home one day for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
After an early career in prehistoric archaeology, LaBar attended graduate school at Winterthur in Delaware, and then joined the Maine State Museum. She is the museum’s chief curator of history and decorative arts.
