WAYNE — The Friends of Cary Memorial Library’s 11th annual Lobster Roll Lunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, all packed to go.
The lobster rolls, or chicken salad, will be available at the William House, 17 Old Winthrop Road, across the street from the libary. All orders are pickup, and must be preordered.
Lunch boxes will include fresh clear lobster mixed with a hint of mayo, stuffed in a toasted bun with a bit of lettuce crunch, along with homemade blueberry cake, chips and pickles. Chicken salad rolls will have the same fixings. Gluten-free rolls and cake are availabl. Drinks are available at pickup.
Pickup will be at well-spaced intervals to avoid crowding, with numerous pickup tables. The lunches are a fun picnic option, or lunch back at home, in the boat or on the water. Organizers will confirm your order and work out a pickup time. Face coverings will be the norm.
