WATERVILLE — Literacy Volunteers Waterville Area recently announced the two winners of its Literacy Volunteers Waterville Area essay scholarship awards.
Issac Violette of Oakland, a 2020 graduate of Messalonskee High School, won the $500 scholarship award and plans to attend classes at the University of Maine.
Adam Bonenfant of Vassalboro, a 2020 graduate from Erskine Academy in South China, won the $150 award. He plans to pursue his studies at Kennebec Valley Community College in the fall.
