RAYMOND — Award-winning garden designer, author and lecturer Kerry Ann Mendez will present a preview of the annual Raymond Garden Tour at the Raymond Village Library Wednesday, May 3, at 11 a.m. This year’s event takes place Saturday, June 24, with a rain date of Sunday, June 25.
Mendez will focus on time-saving gardening techniques, workhorse plants and sustainable practices. She has been on HGTV and in numerous magazines including “Horticulture,” “Fine Gardening,” “Garden Gate” and “Better Homes & Gardens.”
Her topic for this program is “Gardening Simplified: Exceptional Plants and Design Solutions for Time-Pressed and Maturing Gardeners.” This inspiring lecture provides easy-to-follow, right-sizing strategies, recommends no-fuss plant material, and includes design tips for stunning, year-round gardens as close to “auto-pilot” as possible.
