Leeds church to host diabetes support and outreach program

LEEDS — The Leeds Community Church will host an informational program — “Diabetes and Food for Good Health” — Thursday, April 27, from 6 -8 p.m., at the church, 123 Church Hill Road.

Led by Bill Flewelling, R.N., and Paul Drowns, community cooking educator at St. Mary’s Nutrition Center in Lewiston. This program will provide an overview of Type 2 diabetes and some approaches to managing it. It will also include a presentation on “real food” and “clean” eating to promote good health.
