LEWISTON – Certified nursing assistant Samanth Hinckley is the most recent recipient of Central Maine Medical Center’s Sunshine Award, the hospital announced.
The Sunshine Award was established to reward and celebrate the extraordinary skills and compassionate care given by technical support staff, the news release said. Sunshine Award recipients consistently demonstrate compassion, patient- and family-focused care, passion about life, patient advocacy and their support of all health care team members.
Hinckley was nominated by a co-worker who works with her on the pediatric and adult medical surgical floor.
“I cannot say enough about (Hinckley). It has been a joy working with Samantha; on a daily basis she displays kindness, patience, and excellent patient care. She is always smiling, answering call bells promptly, and communicating with her team effectively. Her positive attitude is refreshing, and she is always thinking ahead, which is unbelievably helpful,” said the nomination.
The hospital reiterated that Hinckley always supports her co-workers and provides her patients with the care they deserve. She is a wonderful addition to CMMC and Central Maine Healthcare, the release said.
