BELGRADE — The Sweet Swap, part of the Belgrade Public Library’s Cabin Fever Reliever series, will be held Friday, Feb. 21.
The event featuring Shari Hamilton, of Hello Good Pie, was originally scheduled for Feb. 7, but postponed because of the weather.
Hamilton reveal some of her baking secrets and talk about her path to success at the program, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Belgrade Public Library, 124 Depot St.
Participants are invited to bring two containers: one filled with a batch of cookies or confections to share, another empty to take home samples of the treats that others have brought. Soup and savory snacks will be available.
The program is free and open to the public, and is the second in the winter series.
Also on tap is retired Maine Game Warden Roger Guay on Friday, March 20. Guay will discuss his career and his book “A Good Man with a Dog,” cowritten with Maine crime writer Kate Flora. The talk will be at 6 p.m. and include a social period with warm comfort foods to help easy the late-winter blahs.
