OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Volunteer Firefighter Association and members of the community will hold the Frozen Winter Wonderland Carnival from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at both the Otisfield Community Hall, 292 Oxford Road, and the town office, 403 Route 121.
All events are free, with donations appreciated. The event is for the whole community, adults and children, featuring a variety of activities; however, children must be accompanied by an adult at all events.
Highlights include a precarnival cardbord sled building session from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at the community hall.
Other events focus on games, horse-drawn wagon rides, lunch, crafts and cookie decorating and the “Cardboard Classic” sled race. The day wraps up with an Italian-themed dinner to benefit the Otisfield Community School playgroud fund as well as a raffle. Any donations may be sent to the school at 416 Powhatan Road (payable to OCS).
