TURNER — Turner Public Library and French Fry, the library’s stuffed otter mascot, would like to invite all area children to participate in the first French Fry’s Stuffed Animal Sleepover and Breakfast with Your Bestie Story Hour on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8.
Children may drop off a stuffed animal at Turner Public Library, 98 Matthews Way, between 2 and 6 p.m. Friday. Children will be asked to supply information about their stuffed animal such as name, favorite foods and books, and what the librarians should do in the event the stuffed friend can’t sleep. Stuffed animals may wear their pajamas and bring a blanket. Box beds may be brought with by the children, and some will be available at the library. During the sleepover, stuffed animals will engage in various activities in the library and pictures of animal antics will be posted on the library’s Facebook and website pages beginning at 5 p.m. Friday.
On Saturday, Feb. 8, starting at 10 a.m., the library will host Breakfast with Your Bestie Story Hour. Children may pick up their stuffed animals beginning at 9:30 a.m., when the library opens, but children who wish to stay for story hour will be treated to breakfast, a story and a craft that they can share with their “best friend” stuffed animal.
