WAYNE — The Wayne Conservation Commission is inviting the public to partiipate in a winter walk to the shoreline of Wilson Pond on the town’s property at the end of House Road Sunday, Jan. 19. There is a steep hill to get to the shoreline and back. Walkers will meet at the Wayne Community Church parking lot, 22 Old Winthrop Road, at 1 p.m. and are advised to wear sturdy, warm boots as well as snowshoes or skis, depending upon the conditions. There are no trails on the property yet.
After the walk, participants may warm up with tea, cookies and light snacks at the Williams House, across the street from the Cary Library, 17 Old Winthrop Road.
