Winthrop Hot Meal Kitchen open Monday through Thursday

WINTHROP — The Winthrop Hot Meal Kitchen opens at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday at St. Francis Church, 20 Lake St., to provide a hardy lunch.
All are welcome to enjoy good company and a delicious free meal prepared by experienced cooks and helpers, who volunteer their services. No questions are asked about income; for more information about the program itself, call Steve Dodge at 207-620-0488.
Additionally, the Winthrop Hot Meal Kitchen welcomes donations from the public toward food purchases. The orgaization obtains some food from the Good Shepherd Food Bank at a low cost; other items are found at supermarket sales.
The Hot Meal Kitchen also benefits from Hannaford gift cards to assist in purchasing the extra groceries needed to round out the meals.
