Group of Tripp Middle School runners do well at Junior Olympics

TURNER — Tripp Middle School’s cross-country team attended the USA Track & Field Junior Olympics held recently at Cony High School in Augusta.
Coach Cory Brassbridge sent four athletes from his team on what turned out to be a cold day with heart-warming results. Although it was a short season, Tripp’s cross-country team came in running. Gabriel Durazo placed first in the Boys Division 4K (age group 13-14); Abigail Marston came in third place for the Girls Division 4K (age group 1314). Ashlyn Neiley came in 10th place for the Girl Division 3K (age group 11-12). Charlotte Brooke came in 13th place for the Girls Division 3K (age group 11-12).
