WINDHAM — The Gray and Windham Republican town committees will host a question and answer session from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Windham Veterans Center, 35 Veterans Memorial Drive.
Refreshments will precede the meeting at 6 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $1; donations accepted.
WGAN Radio is a media partner of the event, and Joe Reagan, a WGAN guest host of “Inside Maine” and a morning news contributor, will emcee the event. Reagan is a retired Army captain who served in Afghanistan with military intelligence, where he was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. The topic will be “Why Socialism Would Destroy America’s Economy & Freedoms.”
The keynote speaker for the evening will be Bruce Poliquin, the former U.S. representative from the 2nd District, who served from 2015 to 2019. He was also Maine state treasurer from 2010 until 2012. Poliquin’s speech will be preceded by remarks from Peter Falkenberg Brown, chairman of the Gray Republican Committee, and José Mayoral, a conservative businessman from Venezuela, who now lives in York.
