RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has put out a call to artists for two juried shows set for late summer, both with cash prizes. The RFA’s 37th annual Art in August show will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, in Oquossoc Village.
The established and well attended open-air exhibit and sale has cash prizes in two categories, according to a news release from the RFA. The deadline to apply is May 15. The 3rd annual Western Mountain Photography Show will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Sept. 15, and beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, in the banquet room of the Rangeley Inn and Tavern.
Photographers may submit up to three images to earn cash prizes in two categories along a specific theme. At 7 p.m. on the Saturday of the show, there will be a catered awards ceremony, where winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
