SAD 52 adult education students, instructors attend State House event

AUGUSTA — Students and staff from School Administrative District 52 Adult Education attended the annual State House Day on March 16, an event that gives those involved in adult education programs a chance to visit with legislators and advocate for programs. Those who gathered in the Hall of Flags talked to the public about their local program and shared their personal stories about why they chose adult education.

Program representatives displayed informational tables within the Hall of Flags and groups of adult learners visited sessions, toured the State House, and visited the Maine State Museum. While at the event, SAD 52 Adult Education student Kali Beaulieu met with Rep. Jeff Timberlake, R-Turner, to talk about her decision to enroll in adult education and her goals for the future.
