PARIS — The town is holding a slogan contest, with prizes available to students from Paris Elementary, Oxford Hills Middle School and Oxford Hills High School who submit ideas.
The names of all students who pitch a slogan will be entered into a drawing for a free backpack containing school supplies, toys and gifts, with a student from each school winning the random drawing.
The Paris Prosperity Project is hosting the contest, and organizers said that they believe “Paris needs to be recognized with a slogan that best describes what we wish Paris to be and be remembered for.” Organizers said that in thinking about the future of Paris, they decided to reach out to local youths for ideas. They said they best entries should be short and meaningful.
The deadline is April 15. Entries can be submitted by email to info@parismaine or can be dropped off at the Town Office.
