MOUNT VERNON — A new writer’s group is being started up at Dr. Shaw Memorial Library.
The initial meeting will be at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the library, 344 Pond Road.
At the initial meeting, the group will decide how often to meet and how they want to organize. There are several people in the area who have expressed an interest in writing and sharing poetry, short fiction,and nonfiction pieces. Those interested may come and meet other writers, bring a piece of their work to show the members, and be ready to help each other with their writing.
