Norway 3-C clothing giveway is Sept. 28; donations sought

NORWAY — There will be a free clothing giveaway from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Grange Hall, 15 Whitman St.
The Table, community group formed from members of the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, the Norway Grange and friends, is offering the 3-C Giveaway, providing free clothes, cookies and coffee. There is also a limited amount of new socks and underwear, as well as some household and bedding articles.
The event is open to the public, from anyone needing clothes to those who would simply would enjoy a time of fellowship of coffee, cookies and great conversation. There is no income eligibility required to participate.
Donations may be dropped off at the Norway Grange from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 27. The setup committee would appreciate donations be dropped off Monday through Wednesday.
There is a great need for new underwear and socks, and local organizations are encouraged to collect new underwear and socks to assist with this event. Clothing is collected throughout the year. This event is done in the spring and fall each year serving hundreds of people at each event.
The weekly Friday Fun night will not be held on Sept. 27, because of giveaway setup. The weekly breakfast held every Saturday will be abbreviated, serving coffee, doughnuts and other sweets.
