BELGRADE — Belgrade Bible Church will host singer, songwriter and evangelist Ed Sealy, in concert with Dave Mumford, Friday, Oct. 4, through Sunday, Oct. 6.
The church is at 744 Augusta Road, and the event is free and open to the public.
Sealy, originally of Bathurst, New Brunswick, was the oldest of eight children. As an adult he owned a chain of fast food restaurants in Nova Scotia, and it was there he began a spiritual search to quench the thirst deep within his soul. His quest ended when he was converted to Christ in 1978.
After his conversion, Sealy left the business world to study for the ministry. After graduation from Bible school, he pastored a church in New Bruswick for five years before answering the call to return to the Bible School to teach Old and New Testament Synthesis and personal evangelism. In 1998, he resigned his teaching position to found Furtherance Ministries. The ministry has a board of directors and is registered with the Canadian government as a charitable organization. The purpose of the ministry is to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.
He recently released his eighth CD, “Winter Coat.”
The schedule is:
Friday — 6 p.m.: Sealy and Mumford in concert.
Saturday — 3 p.m. Evangelism class led by Sealy, 4:30 p.m., fellowship meal; 6 p.m., concert with Sealy and Mumford.
Sunday — 9:30 a.m., Sunday school with special guests Sealy and Mumford; 11 a.m. morning worship with Sealy and Mumford; noon, lunch, all are invited to stay; 2 p.m. hymn sing; 5 p.m., evening service, with snack and fellowship to follow.
