LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice is offering free support groups for adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one. “Guidance Through Grief” brings together those coping with the many emotions experienced with the loss of someone special.
The groups will be offered in five locations this spring, and each group meets once a week for 8 weeks. The locations, start dates and times are:
AUBURN: Wednesday, April 19 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at The Hospice House, 236 Stetson Road.
BRIDGTON: Wednesday, April 19, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.
LEWISTON: Tuesday, April 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at AHCH office, 15 Strawberry Ave.
NORWAY: Tuesday, April 18 at the Christ Episcopal Church, 35 Paris St.
WILTON: Tuesday, April 18 from 4-5:30 p.m. at AHCH’s office, 284 Main Street, Suite 290.
A highly-trained expert leads the discussion, helping participants better understand the grief process and share feelings and experiences with others in the group. Activities are designed to help participants find their way to a place of hope and comfort.
