The new Belgrade Village Green was dedicated in a celebration on Aug. 3. The park was developed and donated to the town by Rome residents Lynn and Phyllis Matson and accepted by town voters at the March town meeting. The park includes a gazebo, walking path, new tree plantings and a five-car parking lot. The Friends of Belgrade Lakes Village donated benches and other amenities. The park is at the intersection of Main Street and West Road, on the site of the grounds of The Belgrade hotel, which burned down in 1956. (Maureen Milliken photo)
