WINTHROP — Tabitha’s Closet, a clothing ministry of the Winthrop United Methodist Church., will be open an extra Saturday in September.
The closet provides, free of charge, high quality, gently used (sometimes new) apparel to anyone with a need. There are no income guidelines or residency requirements; everyone is welcome. It is open 9 a.m. to noon on the second and fourth Saturday of the month, but in September will also be open on Saturday, Sept. 21, in addition to the regularly scheduled days.
Tabitha’s Closet relies on donations of clothing from the community. Donations of soft goods (bedding, towels, etc.) and personal hygiene items are also welcome. Donations can be left at any time in the donations shed at 72 Main St. Iitems should be free of stains or other damage.
