AUBURN — Scrabble players are invited to put their skills to the test, raising money for Literacy Volunteers-Androscoggin. The 19th annual Letters for Literacy Scrabble Fest will be held April 23, and the deadline to register is April 17.
The competition is Scrabble with a twist — teams of four collaborate over the same letter tray to try to outscore another four-person team.
To join, form a four-person team and choose a name, register by April 17, collect pledges and attend the competition from 12:30–4:30 p.m., Sunday, April 23, at the Carriage House in Lewiston. There are prizes for top fundraisers.
