Jun. 42019

LISBON — The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District Lodge 4 will hold its second annual charity golf tournament on Friday, June 7, with proceeds going to Guide Dogs of America.
The tournament will begin at 8 a.m., at Spring Meadows Golf Club, 59 Lewiston Road in Gray. Guide Dogs of America provides free seeing eye dogs to individuals who are visually impaired.
“IAMAW has been a strong supporter of Guide Dogs for America since its founding over 70 years ago,” said IAMAW District 4 Assistant Directing Business Representative George Edwards. “We are proud to support this remarkable organization which has matched thousands of blind and visually impaired people with exceptional guide dog partners. All proceeds from this event will go to help people with visual impairments live more independent and fulfilling lives.”
Members of the public can pledge a donation to the event by sending a text to 41444 and typing “Machinist” and the dollar amount. Last year’s charity golf tournament raised $27,000 for Guide Dogs for America. For more information call IAMAW Lodge 4 at 207-407-1222 or visit Guide Dogs for America’s website.
