Starling Hall June 1 plant sale includes Johnny’s Seeds giveways

FAYETTE — The Friends of Starling will hold a plant sale, complete with expert speakers, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the Fayette Fire Station, 2475 Main St.
The plant sale will include free giveaways from Jonny’s Seeds. Some of the plants thap will be available will include marigold, cosmos, celosia, coleus, ageratum, heliotrope, dusty miller, impatiens, petunia, nasturtium, snap dragon, sunflowers and zinnias.
There will also be tomatoes, Peppers, cukes and herbs and perennials including lady’s mantle, bee balm, day lillies and hosta.
Doughnuts and coffee will be available for early birds, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., for $1, and at lunchtime there will be hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream.
Expert speakers will begin at 10 a.m., and topics include Growing Raspberries in Your Home Garden, Edible Plants, Recylcing, Native Perrennials and Backyard Composting.
