Attorney to speak on wage and hour issues June 6

AUBURN — Skelton Taintor & Abbott attorney Jordan Payne Hay will be a speaker at the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce’s breakfast meeting 7 to 9 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at Lafleur’s Restaurant, 224 Main St.
Hay will discuss the most up-to-date information about minimum wage requirements, overtime rules and different pay structures, employee classification and everything in between.
Hay’s practice areas include employment litigation, civil rights litigation, employment law, counseling and compliance, and employment law training.
She has been a presenter at numerous seminars and conferences on subjects related to employment law. Hay represents individual clients and businesses in commercial disputes, employment and labor law issues, as well as litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings. She handles claims in both state and federal court, before the Maine Human Rights Commission, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other state and federal agencies and tribunals. She is licensed to practice in Maine and Massachusetts.
